This year's countdown begins on Monday, July 6 and will continue until Tuesday, August 4, the opening day of Appalachian State football's fall camp.

Van Ord Wins Three Sun Belt Championships
Day Two of Sun Belt Indoor Championships - Feb. 24, 2015
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Appalachian State University women's track and field wrapped up the indoor season on Tuesday, finishing in sixth at the Sun Belt Conference championships.
The Mountaineers were led on day two by sophomore Tristin Van Ord who broke a program and championship meet record in the 5,000 meter run with a time of 16:39.75. Van Ord's time topped Whitney Ball's time of 16:52.94, which was set in 1989.
The time topped the previous best in the Sun Belt Conference championship meet from last year by nearly seven seconds. The previous record holder was Kristina Aubert from Arkansas State who finished in 16:46.32 last season.
Dana Cox finished in sixth in the 5,000 meter run with a time of 17:20.66. The time for Cox is a personal-best and is good for sixth all-time in program history.
Shelby Howell took second in the 800 meter run with an indoor personal-best time of 2:11.25. The time tops her previous indoor best and is good for second all-time in program history. Senior Brianna Tate took fifth in the shot put with a throw of 48-10.75 feet.
In the mile run, Hana Ratcliffe took seventh and Torre Moser placed eighth. Ratcliffe ran a time of 4:59.42 and Moser finished in 5:01.51. The times were personal-bests, while Ratcliffe's time is good for seventh all-time in program history and Moser's time places her 10th all-time.
The Mountaineers took seventh in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:56.77. The team consisted of Taryn Stern, Krystal Clarke, Brooke Brekke and Catherine Crawford.
Van Ord Wins Three Sun Belt Championships
Day One of Sun Belt Outdoor Championships - May 9, 2015
GULF SHORES, Ala. - Appalachian State University women's track and field was led by Tristin Van Ord on the first day of the 2015 Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Van Ord became Appalachian State's first Sun Belt outdoor champion, winning the 10,000-meter run with a time of 35:05.15. Dana Cox placed third with a time of 36:27.92.
Brianna Tate took third in the hammer throw with a distance of 54.08 meters for a third-place ranking in the App State record book.
The Apps will resume competition at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning at the Sun Belt Championships.
Day Three of Sun Belt Outdoor Championships - May 11, 2015
GULF SHORES, Ala. - Appalachian State University women's track and field placed seventh as a team at the Sun Belt Championships on Sunday with three athletes earning all-conference honors.
Torre Moser started the day by placing fourth in the 1,500 meter run with a time of 4:38.10. Shelby Howell then took fourth in the 800 meter run, recording a time of 2:10.36.
The highlight of the day came in the 5,000 meter run when App had three athletes score team points. Tristin Van Ord earned her second title of the meet, placing first with a time of 17:01.09.
Dana Cox followed in fourth-place, recording a time of 17:26.43 and Samantha Campanaro took eighth with a time of 17:43.27.
The 4x400 meter relay team of Howell, Micah Hanks, Brooke Brekke and Krystal Clarke took seventh to end the day, posting a time of 3:51.28.
The Mountaineers finished seventh in the conference meet with 68.50 total points. Arkansas State took the Sun Belt title with a total of 138 points.
