NEW ORLEANS – The Sun Belt Conference placed more than 3,300 student-athletes on the Commissioner's List and Academic Honor Roll for the 2024-25 school year. In addition, 133 student-athletes earned the 1A FAR Academic Excellence Award.
With a combined 258 honorees among the lists for the Academic Honor Roll (99 members), Commissioner's List (151 members) and 1A Far Academic Excellence Award (eight members), App State ranked in the top three among the 14 football-playing Sun Belt institutions.
The Commissioner's List honors student-athletes who earned a 3.5 grade point average (GPA) or better during the 2024-25 academic year, while the Academic Honor Roll honors those student-athletes who maintained a GPA between 3.00 and 3.49 for the academic year.
The 1A FAR Academic Excellence Award recognizes student-athletes at FBS football-sponsoring institutions who earned their undergraduate degrees between Sept. 1, 2024 and Aug. 31, 2025 and compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.80 or better upon graduation. In addition, the student-athletes must have participated in at least two years of NCAA intercollegiate athletics at an FBS institution.

Jackson Nichols (Men's Cross Country),
Gracie Giacoletto (Soccer),
Jacquelyn Taylor (Women's Golf),
Catherine Breault (Women's Cross Country),
Abby Granberg (Women's Cross Country) and
Lauren Pledger (Volleyball).
App State student-athletes from Field Hockey (MAC) and Wrestling (SoCon) are not included in Sun Belt lists for the Commissioner's List or Academic Honor Roll.
