2025: Started 40 games in her sophomore season and appeared in 45 … Tallied 23 hits in 101 at-bats, good for a .228 batting average … Slugged two home runs and drove home 11 runs … Hit her first career home run against ULM on April 12 … Hit a home run against Coastal Carolina May 3, which set the program record for home runs in a single season … Posted a .371 on-base percentage … Reached base safely in 11 of her final 13 games to close the season … Recorded an infield hit in the top of the sixth inning at the Sun Belt Tournament against Louisiana … Drove home a career-best two RBIs against UMass Lowell on March 8 … Posted a .444 batting average against Georgia Southern in App State’s home-opening series … Drove home a run in all three contests vs. Marshall from April 4-5 … Recorded her first career hit against Auburn on Feb. 8

High School
Simpson comes to App State from Davie County High School in Mocksville, N.C. where she was twice named to the all-conference and all-district teams for her play in the middle infield, while also once garnering all-state honors. During her junior year at Davie County, she batted .476 and hit five home runs, while also driving in 27 runs and stealing 15 bases. The middle infielder was also a member of the Bandits Elite Premier - Simpson team, where she batted .400 in the summer of 2022.
