Addison Heidemann earned her second Sun Belt Volleyball Setter of the Week honor of the season after helping the Mountaineers clinch the Sun Belt East Division and notch a pair of victories over Marshall on Nov. 8 and 9. On the weekend, Heidemann totaled 99 assists, averaging 12.38 per set. Additionally, she served up three aces, 11 digs, and made one block.
In Friday's 3-0 sweep of the Thundering Herd, Heidemann made 38 of the Mountaineers' 42 assists, helping the team to clinch the SBC East Division title. She also made a kill, served up an ace, and recorded seven digs. On Saturday, Heidemann accounted for 61 of App State's 64 assists. She also served up two aces, made four digs, and made one kill and one block.
For the weekend, the Diller, NE native led the Sun Belt in assists and helped App State to rank second in team hitting percentage (.255) and team kills (15.00 per set), as well as third in assists (13.25 per set) and team aces (1.63 per set). For conference-only play, Heidemann ranks second in aces (23 total) and third in the league in assists (10.40 per set). For the season as a whole, Heidemann ranks fourth in assists (8.59 per set) and sixth in aces (28 total) in the Sun Belt.
Heidemann previously earned Sun Belt Setter of the Week honors on Sept. 24, 2024 for her efforts at the Wake Forest Invitational (Sept. 20 and 21), where she totaled 93 assists and helped the Mountaineers to a .329 team hitting percentage on the weekend. She is the first Mountaineer to be named SBC Setter of the Week twice in one season since Sam Bickley's back-to-back honors in 2019.
The Mountaineers will close the regular season with a pair of matches against Troy on Nov. 14 and 15 in Troy, Ala. Both matches are set for 7 p.m. ET (6 p.m. CT) and will be available to stream on ESPN+.
