BOONE, N.C. -- App State volleyball head coach
Matt Ginipro has announced a pair of matches for the program during the spring season.
The Mountaineers spring season will consist of back-to-back road matches against ACC foes. The Black and Gold will battle Duke on Feb. 17 and North Carolina on Feb. 18
"We are excited to have the chance to play against two quality opponents this spring," said Ginipro. "We want to give a huge thanks to our medical staff and administration for making these matches a reality."
App State and Duke have met 11 times, with the Blue Devils holding an 8-3 edge. The Black and Gold's contest at North Carolina marks the first time the Mountaineers have faced the Tar Heels since the 2010 season.
"Without a conference schedule, finding matches this spring was tough, but it's great that we can have a goal to get ready for two ACC opponents in February," added Ginipro. "After our matches, we can spend the rest of the spring gearing up for the 2021 fall season"
