BOONE, N.C. -- Appalachian State volleyball will conclude the regular season this weekend. On Friday, the Mountaineers host South Alabama at 6:30 p.m., followed by a 12:30 p.m. meeting with Troy on Sunday.

THE SERIES
- South Alabama holds a slim 6-5 lead in the all-time series, including a 3-1 (19-25, 25-12, 25-20, 25-19) victory in Mobile on Nov. 2
- App State holds a 6-2 lead in the all-time series against Troy, but the Trojans won the meeting earlier this season in Troy 3-1 (27-29, 25-16, 25-17, 25-22)
SCOUTING THE MOUNTAINEERS
- App State won a pair of matches in Georgia last weekend to move to 11-6 on the season and 7-7 in Sun Belt play. By virtue of the two victories and two losses by Little Rock, the Black and Gold have clinched a spot in the Sun Belt Tournament
- In the win over Georgia State, Longley posted her second straight double-double and team leading 11th of the season with 16 kills and 10 digs. Kara Spicer added 11 kills on a .476 hitting percentage. Sam Bickley tallied 39 assists and Emma Reilly finished with 18 digs
- Longley had totaled 408 kills, which ranks second in the league. She also sits second in the Sun Belt, averaging 3.96 kills per set
- Reilly has posted a strong season on defense for App State. She leads the Sun Belt in total digs with 497 and sits second in the conference with a 4.83 digs per set average. In addition, she also ranks second in the league in service aces (51) and service aces per set (0.50)
SCOUTING THE JAGUARS
- South Alabama enters play with a 20-8 overall record and is tied for the lead in the Sun Belt Eastern division with Coastal Carolina at 11-3
- The Jaguars posted a 3-1 (25-18, 17-25, 25-22, 25-18) win at Troy on Nov. 8. Iva Durdanovic tallied 16 kills and a .538 hitting percentage in the win. Meaghan Jones (11) and Kelley Hartman (10) also reached double figures in kills for South Alabama. Rachael DeMarcus had 42 assists in the win and Paige Lynn recorded 14 digs
- Hartman leads the Sun Belt is hitting .374 on the season, which leads the Sun Belt. She is also averaging 3.11 kills per set, which ranks seventh in the league
SCOUTING THE TROJANS
- Troy enters play at 21-6 on the season and 10-4 in Sun Belt play, after falling 3-1 to South Alabama on Nov. 8
- Against South Alabama, Caitlin Cooper had 16 kills, Cheyenne Hayes added 15 and Julia Brooks had 11. Lacey Jeffcoat had 14 digs, with Hayes adding 10
- Amara Anderson leads the Sun Belt in total assists (1,100) and assists per set (11.46). Hayes sits third in the league in kills (379) and kills per set (3.95 k/s)
- As a team, Troy is averaging a league best 13.82 kills per set and is limiting opponents to a .172 hitting mark, which sits second in the conference
