Friday will also be Senior Day for the Mountaineers' three seniors -
Erika Dodridge,
Helena Jansen and
Virginia Poggi. The three will be recognized in a ceremony before the match starts at roughly 1:45 p.m.
App State (10-6, 7-2 Sun Belt) has won five of its last six outings and is currently tied with Marshall (13-6, 7-2) for fourth place in the league standings.
The Mountaineers boast two of the last three Sun Belt Women's Tennis Players of the Week in Jansen - who won the award after last week's wins over South Alabama and Southern Miss - and freshman
Savannah Dada-Mascoll - who received the honor after dominant performances against Troy and Georgia State.Â
Head coach
Ashleigh Antal's team has its best conference record since the 2018-19 season when the Mountaineers finished 9-1 and claimed their first regular-season conference title.
After Friday, App State will travel to Radford for a nonconference match on Sunday and then close the regular season at Sun Belt co-leader Old Dominion on Saturday, April 22. The Sun Belt Tournament will be held April 27-30 in Peachtree City, Ga.
