Baseball Back at Home for Another Game with Aggies

BOONE, N.C. — After sweeping a Saturday doubleheader at home and losing to North Carolina A&T in Greensboro on Sunday, App State plays host to the Aggies again on Tuesday.

First pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m. on Beaver Field at Jim and Bettie Smith Stadium. The starting pitchers for each team are TBD.

The Mountaineers are 5-2 this season, and in 24 games since the start of the 2020 season, they are 16-8. That's tied for the third-best winning percentage (.667) among Sun Belt teams in that span of time, behind just UTA (15-6 for .714) and Coastal Carolina (16-7 for .696), and the 16 wins are tied for second behind just Texas State (17-9) for the most in the league during that time.

Based on social distancing in the stands at Smith Stadium, only family members of student-athletes and staff will be admitted, up to a maximum of 120. There will not be tickets available for the general public, but updated venue capacity and ticket information for future home games will be coming soon.

Fans can follow Tuesday's action by listening to the game broadcasts from student-run WASU. Those can be heard on 90.5 FM in Boone, via WASU's "Listen Live" link by clicking HERE or by downloading the station's mobile app, which is available on Google Play and the App Store.

Live stats should also be available by clicking HERE. There will not be a video stream of Tuesday's game.
