Volleyball to Face No. 12 Coastal Carolina in Sun Belt Tournament

FOLEY, Ala. -- App State volleyball will take on No. 12-ranked Coastal Carolina on Thursday in the Sun Belt Tournament at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN+. The winner will advance to the Semifinals to play the winner of Pool D, which features Louisiana, Georgia State at Little Rock on Saturday at 5 p.m. ET.

APP STATE IN THE SUN BELT TOURNAMENT
  • App State is making its sixth appearance in the Sun Belt Tournament, with a record of 4-5.
  • The Mountaineers appeared in the Sun Belt Tournament Championship Match twice in 2015 and 2018.

Ani Bozdeva is second on the team in kills at 3.43 per set and ranks 10th in the Sun Belt with a .291 hitting percentage.
  • As a team, the Chanticleers are hitting a league best .270 and limiting opponents to a league low .110 hitting mark. In addition, Coastal Carolina leads the league in service aces per set (1.85) and sits third in blocks per set (2.35).
