CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- Appalachian State women's cross country will compete at the NCAA Southeast Regionals, hosted by Virginia. The women's 6K race is set to begin at 10:30 a.m. on Friday.
NCAA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFICATION
- A total of 31 teams compete as a team at the NCAA D-I Championships. 18 bids are automatic (top two teams in each of nine regions), 13 bids are at-large
- After teams have been determined, 38 additional individuals per gender are selected to compete at the NCAA Championships. Among individuals NOT selected as members of qualifying teams in the above process, the top four finishers at each regional meet are automatically selected (each must have finished within the top 25 of the region). Two additional athletes will be selected from the remainder of the national pool (and must have finished in the regional top 25) as at-large individuals

SCOUTING THE MOUNTAINEERS
- App State placed third of 12 teams at the Sun Belt Championships, tallying 78 points
- Sarah Venable recorded the first all-conference accolade of her career with a fifth place finish for First Team honors in a PR time of 17:42.6. Her mark ranks as the ninth fastest 5K time run by a senior in program history
- Izzy Evely earned Second Team All-Sun Belt honors with a ninth place finish in 17:58.4. The all-conference honor marks the second straight for Evely
- Kylee Frady earned her first all-conference honor with a 13th place finish in 18:05.5 for Third Team All-Sun Belt accolades
- In six scored meets this season, the Mountaineer have place in the top-five in four, including winning the Mountains to Sea Open on Sept. 20
