BOONE, N.C. - The App State women's cross country team is headed to Rock Hill, S.C. for the Adidas Winthrop Invitational on Friday. The women's 6K is slated for 4:30 p.m. The meet will also serve as a preview of the NCAA Southeast Regional course, which will be hosted by Winthrop on Nov. 15.

The Mountaineers competed at Notre Dame's Joe Piane Invitational on Oct. 4, where the women's squad finished second in the team standings with 106 points in the women's gold 5K race. Senior Jasmine Donohue set pace for the Mountaineers, finishing ninth overall with a 5K personal best of 17:24.5. Fellow seniors Emma Russum and Lauren Johnston placed 16th (17:37.1, PR) and 17th (17:39.8), respectively. Rounding out the top-25 was senior Lana Farris, who clocked a personal best of 17:50.3. Sophomore Rhys Ammon rounded out the top-40 with a personal best of her own, stopping the clock at 18:05.2.
