Boone, N.C. – Appalachian State University men's tennis (6-3) will look to stay undefeated at home on Saturday against UNC Asheville in a noon matinee.
The Mountaineers dropped their previous match at Elon, but they look to get back in the win column first against the Bulldogs. Appalachian is 3-0 at home this season, defeating each visiting opponent in 7-0 victories.
Appalachian is 33-20 (.623) in singles competition with three Mountaineers recording five victories or more. Freshman

Scouting UNC Asheville
UNC Asheville has played in six matches this season, compiling a 3-3 record. The Bulldogs opened the season 2-0 with back-to-back 7-0 wins over Lenoir-Rhyne and Mars Hill. Asheville then dropped three straight matches to Charlotte, Tennessee Tech and Furman. The Bulldogs got back in the win column on Sunday with a 5-2 victory over UNC Greensboro. In singles competition, Asheville is 19-17 overall. Olly Cull and Finlay Ray McFadyen are tied for a team-best 4-2 singles record. The Bulldogs have been a tough out in doubles at 13-4 overall. The No. 1 pairing of Henry Patten and Cull are 5-0 so far this season.
