Singles – Fall: Got off to a hot start to his collegiate career, capturing his first three matches and making it to the finals at the UNC Wilmington Fall Tournament…Competed at the 2017 ITA Division I Men’s Carolina Regional Championship…Spring: One of two players to finish with at least 10 singles and 10 doubles wins, as his 12 singles victories were second only to his brother …won four matches in a row from Jan. 27 to Feb. 2…spent time playing in the No. 1, No. 2 and No .3 spot…won eight matches in the No. 3 spot and three matches in the No. 2 spot…battled back to win his match in three sets to push Appalachian past second-seeded Louisiana in the first round of the Sun Belt Tournament ... played a pivotal role in App registering a third straight winning campaign.
Doubles – Fall: Notched wins in his first five career doubles matches paired with his older brother…reeled off five victories in a row to start the fall slate, which was capped off with a 6-3 victory over UNCW's Agustin Savarino and Ignasi De Rueda with his brother in the UNC Wilmington Fall Tournament … advanced to the second round of the 2017 ITA Division I Men’s Regional Championship following a win over Winthrop's Josh Ryan and Gabriel Dias…Spring: Finished his freshman campaign leading the team in doubles victories (16)…played 20 of his 21 doubles matches with Alex Pavkovich, going 15-6, which tied for the team lead among doubles tandems … won six of seven matches to open the season, where the Mountaineers went 5-2 as a team…helped secure the doubles point with a resounding 6-1 triumph in a team victory over No. 2 seed Louisiana at the Sun Belt Tournament and clinched the contest with a come-from-behind victory in three sets.

Born on Nov. 11, 1998, Ben is the son of Gordon and Alison Webster. Has two older brothers, Robbie, who plays soccer at Queens College and Scott. Hobbies include poker. Will major in pre-law studies and minor in economics.
