Men's Tennis Finishes Fifth in Helper Helper Community Service

BOONE, N.C. - App State men's tennis finished fifth in the 2020 NCAA Team Works Helper Helper Community Service competition among men's tennis programs.

Appalachian was one of two Sun Belt teams in the top 10 with Louisiana while being joined by Arizona as the only Power Five program. The Mountaineers had a 100 percent participation.

The men's tennis team worked with such organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and the Humane Society of Watauga County.

"I am proud of the guys' commitment to their involvement in the community," head coach Craig Schwartz said. "This was a goal we set at the beginning of the season, and to achieve such great recognition is a testament to their character. This team has left a lasting impact on the lives of many for years to come. I couldn't be more proud to be the coach of a great group of young men."
