BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State University men's soccer (7-3-3) hosts Presbyterian (4-10-0) on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. at Ted Mackorell Soccer Complex in the final non-conference match of the season.
A Win for App State Would
- Improve App's record to 8-3-3 and move to 4-0-2 at home
- Finish non-conference play at 6-3-2
- Move to 2-0 all-time against Presbyterian

App State and Elon concluded to a 0-0 draw in last Wednesday's matchup. The sixth clean sheet of the season for
Jake Chasteen puts him a tie for the third-most shutouts in a single season and is three away from setting the single-season mark in school history.
Charlie Baird and
Juan Hernandez each had a shot on goal.
Brady Gunter also was the last line of defense and made a stop to keep the score tied in the second overtime.
About the Mountaineers
App State has six shutouts this season including four straight clean sheets at home. The Mountaineers have outscored their opponents, 6-1, at Ted Mack. Appalachian's six shutouts are tied for the most since 2015 and the most overall since 2012. The Mountaineers have ensured themselves their first winning season since 2012.

Chasteen has been dominant this season, including a goals against average of .20 at home. The senior is 14th in the nation in goals against average and 19th in clean sheets.
Scouting Presbyterian
The Blue Hose are coming off a 2-0 win against Longwood and have won two of their last three matches. PC has struggled on the road this season with a 1-6 mark, but three of those losses came against then-No. 3 North Carolina (2-1), then-No. 14 NC State (2-0) and then-No. 1 Wake Forest (4-1). Marcos Kitromilides leads the way with five goals for a team-high 10 points. Clement Vannier and Adrian Edo Martin each have three goals. Jan Hoffelner has started in 12 of 14 matches between the posts. He has 35 saves with a 1.39 goals against average.

App State will play round out the regular season against Sun Belt foes, Georgia Southern and Howard. The Mountaineers travel to Statesboro on Saturday to face the Eagles at 7 p.m.
