2019:  Gunter started 16 games and played in 17 games on the season...played in 1,329 minutes, placing him second on the team in minutes played by non-goalkeepers...was a part of a Mountaineer defense that finished the season with eight shutouts, good for 15th in the nation and tied for first in the conference to end the regular season...named Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts in Appalachian’s 1-0 win over UNC Asheville...scored in the Mountaineers 4-0 win over Howard (10/12)

2018:  Appeared and started in all 17 matches for App State in 2018, logging 1,486 minutes ... helped anchor a defense that was first in goals allowed with 15 and posted seven shutouts ... played a season-high 110 minutes on three occasions against UNCA (9/12), Georgia State (10/6) and Elon (10/17) ... assisted on Camden Holbrook's
goal in a 1-1 draw at UNCA ... attempted seven shots with three on target. 

2017: Played in 19 matches, starting 17…logged 1668 minutes, including three games with 110 minutes played each…finished with three shots, one on goal…tallied a shot in three separate games… his only score of the season came in a clutch situation where he posted the game-winning goal in a 2-1 overtime victory against Presbyterian (Oct. 24).
