BLACKSBURG, Va. - A new distance medley relay program record highlighted the App State women's track and field team's second day of competition at Virginia Tech's Doc Hale Invitational on Saturday. App State totaled 14 top-10 finishes in Blacksburg, Va. Additionally, the Mountaineers have broken at least one program record at all four indoor meets so far this season.

Jasmine Donohue recorded a new program record of 11:25.30 to place second. The previous App State record was 11:37.28, set in 1999 by MJ Harrelson, Abby Stack, Angela Pryor, and Abby Reeder. With Saturday's time, App State's DMR team ranks 22nd in the NCAA.
In the women's 1,000 meters, senior
Regan Hodge and freshman
Ella Battel recorded personal bests of 2:58.78 to finish third and 3:01.36 to finish fourth, respectively. Hodge rose to fifth in the App State all-time list and Battel rose to eighth in the list. The 4x400-meter relay team of sophomore

Ja'Naya Linder also registered a fifth-place finish with a time of 3:51.73.

Lilly Nichols landed seventh in the bronze section of the women's pole vault with a clearance of 4.17m (13' 8.25"). On the track, sophomore
Kendall Johnson clocked a personal best of 24.64 to finish ninth and fellow sophomore
Jayla Adams stopped the clock at 24.66 to round out the top-10 in the women's 200 meters.
Friday Rewind
On Friday, Johnson advanced to the women's 60-meter finals after finishing fifth with a personal best of 7.52 in the preliminary round. She placed eighth in the final with a time of 7.57. In the women's 3,000 meters, senior
Karsyn Kane led the Mountaineers, clocking a personal best of 10:10.17 for a sixth-place finish. Freshman
Breanna Budzinski and senior
Lana Farris rounded out the top-10 with times of 10:22.16 and 10:30.93, respectively. Senior
Catherine Breault finished 11th with a time of 10:38.29.
Johnston stopped the clock at 4:50.97 to place ninth in the bronze section of the women's mile, while senior
Emma Russum finished seventh in the women's mile with a personal best of 4:59.51. Ollendick-Smith and freshman Jahila Wright finished 11th in the women's 800 meters (2:12.37, PR) and women's long jump (5.48m (17' 11.75")), respectively.
