CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Multiple players from the App State tennis team have qualified for the 2024 ITA Regionals.

Taya Powell,
Olwyn Ryan-Bovey and Isabella Romanichen will be traveling to Chapel Hill to face off against some of the best players in the Carolinas.
The tournament will consist of a qualifying and main round in singles and one main round for doubles, both with a minimum 64 players competing.
Ryan-Bovey and Romanichen open play for the Mountaineers on Thursday morning, taking on opponents from Furman and Gardner-Webb. Powell follows their matches also facing an opponent from Gardner-Webb.
Dada-Mascoll has already qualified for the main draw of the tournament, with her start time still to be decided.
All four Mountaineers will be playing doubles in the tournament, with Powell and Ryan-Bovey facing off against Presbyterian College on Thursday evening. Dada-Mascoll and Romanichen will be paired up against South Carolina State, also slated to begin on Thursday evening.
Ryan-Bovey played in the tournament last year, winning her first singles match before falling in her second match against Charleston Southern.
This is the last tournament of the fall season for the Mountaineers, making these their last matches until 2025.
