DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — In her Sun Belt Championship debut, freshman 
Ekaterina Prokhorova posted App State Women's Golf's low score in all three rounds on her way to a tie for 40th place at the LPGA International site.
Prokhorova finished at 17 over with a 76-78-79—233 total. She played her first 14 holes of the final round at 2 over and had a birdie on her 17th hole for the 13th-place Mountaineers (314-323-327—964).
ULM beat Texas State in a two-hole playoff to win the team title with a 16-over total over 54 holes on the par-72 layout, and Old Dominion's Leah Onosato was the individual medalist with a 2-under total helped by a first-round 68.
Layla Meric (80-81-80—241) had App State's second-best score in the final round and accounted for the team's other top-50 finish. 
Shani Brynard also played in all three rounds, while 
Braelyn Pippin, 
Jacquelyn Taylor and 
Andrea Diaz competed in two rounds apiece.
ROUND 2 RECAP
Prokhorova led the way for the second straight day, posting a 78 in difficult conditions that contributed to only five golfers in the field posting under-par rounds.
 
Prokhorova was tied for 35th at 76-78—154. Meric (81), Brynard (82) and Diaz (82) also scored for App State.
 
The Mountaineers finished the second round in 13th place (314-323—637).
ROUND 1 RECAP
Prokhorova led App State with a first-round 76, followed by Brynard with a 77.
The other golfers contributing to the 13th-place team score of 314 were Meric and Pippin, who was tied for 26th place when she made the turn at 2 over.
