BOONE, N.C. - The App State women's cross country team will compete in the USC-Upstate Invitational in Spartanburg, S.C. on Saturday. The women's 5K is slated for 9 a.m.

The App State women's squad last competed on Sept. 30 at the Live in Lou Cross Country Classic in Louisville, Ky. Senior Jasmine Donohue set pace for the Mountaineers, clocking a season best 5K time of 18:04.4 to finish 66th individually. Freshman Rhys Ammon was the next Mountaineer to cross the finish line with a time of 18:37.2, which was six seconds away from her personal best of 18:31.2, set at the Covered Bridge Open (Sept. 15). Junior Lana Farris finished with a 5K season best time of 19:01.6 and fellow junior Linnea Maynard stopped the clock at 19:26.9.

The App State men's and women's cross country teams will head to Foley, Ala. for the Sun Belt Cross Country Championships on Oct. 28. The women's 5K is set for 11:02 a.m. (10:02 a.m. CT) with the men's 8K to follow at 12 p.m. (11 a.m. CT).
