SAPPHIRE, N.C. — App State Men's Golf has headed west to play again at the JT Post Invitational hosted by Western Carolina.
 
There will be 36 holes Monday and 18 holes Tuesday at the Country Club of Sapphire Valley, which features a 7,007-yard, par-71 layout.
 
Addison Beam, 
Herman Huus, Lukas Jönsson, 
Sverrir Haraldsson and 
Aidan Browning will make up the Mountaineers' lineup.
 
Through two fall events, Beam has a tie for third and a tie for seventh, with both 54-hole totals being under par (-2 and -3). Huus had a tie for third and a tie for 15th in his first two college events.
 
In addition to App State and Western Carolina, the 17-team field includes Abilene Christian, Bellarmine, Belmont, Chattanooga, Coastal Carolina, Elon, Francis Marion, Georgia State, High Point, James Madison, Kennesaw State, Morehead State, UNC Wilmington, Western Kentucky and Wofford.
 
App State currently has a top-130 ranking, according to GolfStat, with nearly 300 teams at the Division I level. UNC Wilmington, at No. 101, is the top-ranked team in the field.
