CHARLESTON, S.C. — Each App State Women's Golf starter posted at least one victory as the Mountaineers took fourth place at the Oyster Shuck Match Play event.
App State opened the two-day event with a 3-2 victory against North Carolina, lost by a 4-1 score against eventual champion Western Carolina in the semifinal round and lost 3-2 against Samford in the third-place match.
Sarah Hardin went 2-1 to lead the Mountaineers with victories against North Carolina A&T (4&3) and Samford (1 up). Mary Sears Brown also won against Samford, posting a 3&1 victory.
