Women's Golf Wraps Up Spring Debut in Florida

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. — Led by a second-round 75 from Hannah Wang, App State Women's Golf opened its spring schedule with a 12th-place finish at the Lady Bison Bay Point Classic.

Wang led the Mountaineers with a 249 total over 54 holes played Monday and Tuesday. App State lowered its team score each round, culminating with a 328 on Tuesday afternoon.

Thanks to a final-round 77, Sarah Hardin was App State's next-highest finisher. That round included nothing worse than a bogey and a 1-over 37 on the front nine.

Kayla Ward had a second-round 81 as App State's third-lowest scorer in Florida. App State freshmen Mary-Sears Brown and Layla Meric were also in the lineup for the first spring tournament of their college careers.

USC Upstate won the team title by six strokes, and Wofford's Becca Earl won the individual title.
