Last Time Out
The Apps blanked Davidson in their last home match on Feb. 25. Olivia Cohen's penalty-kick goal in the 60th minute of the match lifted the Apps to the win. Kerry Eagleston delivered her sixth shutout of the season, putting the sophomore in a tie for second in program history for single-season clean sheets.
A Win Would
- Improve App State's record to 7-10-1 this season.
- Win back-to-back home matches for the first time this season.
- Give the Mountaineers their first win over Marshall.
Honoring Cairney
The senior for App State will be recognized before the match. Cairney has scored three goals, recorded two assists, and amassed eight points for her career. She's also started 33 matches in the past two seasons with 58 contests played.
Scouting Marshall
Marshall is 1-2 on the season after falling to Florida Atlantic, 2-1, last Friday. Morgan White tallied the Thundering Herd's lone goal in the contest. Marshall's lone win thus far win came in a 2-1 victory over ETSU on Feb. 13.
Series History
App State is 0-2-1 against Marshall, with the last matchup against the two foes taking place in 2015 (0-0 2OT). It's only the second time App State has hosted Marshall.
