BOONE, N.C. — The release of Phil Steele's preseason football honors includes All-America recognition for cornerback
Shaun Jolly, one of 19 App State selections on the magazine's All-Sun Belt teams.
Jolly was listed as a preseason fourth-team All-American, and App State had six first-team All-Sun Belt picks to lead the league.
The Mountaineers' other first-team selections were
Zac Thomas (QB),
Thomas Hennigan (WR),
Noah Hannon (C),
Baer Hunter (OL) and
Demetrius Taylor (DL).
Corey Sutton (WR),
Jalen Virgil (WR),
Cooper Hodges (OL),
D'Marco Jackson (LB),
Ryan Huff (DB), Virgil (KR) and Hennigan (PR) were part of the second team, while
Ryan Neuzil (OL),
Nick Hampton (LB),
Shemar Jean-Charles (DB) and
Christian Johnstone (LS) were included on the third team.
Marcus Williams Jr. (RB) and
Chandler Staton (K) are part of the fourth team.
