Biography

Career: Third-team All-American from PFF in 2022 … Four-time All-Sun Belt selection, including a two-time first-team selection after being a second-team selection in 2019 and 2020 … Made starts at right tackle in all 51 of his FBS game appearances … Two-time team captain … Played more than 3,500 snaps in his career, with only seven sacks allowed in 1,668 pass-blocking snaps ... Invited to the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl, where he played offensive guard.
 
2022: Third-team All-American at right tackle from PFF … First-team All-Sun Belt from the league, PFF and PFN … Started all 12 games at right tackle and played 838 snaps … Overall blocking grade of 85.3 from PFF this season ranked fifth overall among starting FBS offensive tackles and No. 1 among starting right tackles at the FBS level … Run-blocking grade of 86.2 also fifth nationally among starting FBS offensive tackles and No. 1 among starting right tackles … Two-year captain allowed just one sack and two QB hits in (428 pass-block snaps) in 2022 … Leader of line that made the Joe Moore Midseason Honor Roll for the nation’s top offensive line ... 2021: First-team All-Sun Belt … Started all 14 games at right tackle … With App State’s line being a semifinalist for the Joe Moore Award, helped Mountaineers allow only 1.2 sacks per game (tied for the 1th-best total nationally) and average 34.5 points a game (23rd-best nationally) … Had a team-best 86.0 grade from App State’s staff while amassing a team-high 84 knockdown blocks in 967 plays … Caught a deflected pass for no yards in the Boca Raton Bowl.

2020: Second-team All-Sun Belt from the league, Phil Steele and PFF … Started at right tackle in all 11 game appearances … Helped App State rank seventh nationally by rushing for 264.9 yards per game, including 500 in the Myrtle Beach Bowl win against North Texas … Sat out only the Georgia State game ... Sun Belt's Best Pass Blocker from Lindy's ... Preseason first-team All-Sun Belt from the league’s coaches/media as well as Lindy's, Athlon and Street and Smith ... Preseason second team from Phil Steele.

2019: First-team All Sun-Belt from PFF College and second team from the league … Midseason Watch List for the FWAA Freshman All-American Team … Started all 14 games at right tackle after moving to that position in the week leading up to the 2019 opener … According to PFF College, had a grade of 79.8 that ranked in the top 40 nationally among FBS tackles … During the regular season, received a grade of 78.2 for pass blocking and 80.9 for run blocking … Helped App State rank in the top 25 nationally by rushing for 231.4 yards per game and allowing just 18 sacks ... Helped App State’s offensive line rank as a top-15 unit nationally on the Joe Moore Award Honor Roll.

2018: Redshirted as a true freshman.

High School: Standout lineman and fullback for a team that went 13-2 and reached the Class 5A state final for coach Jamie Rodgers. It was the first championship game appearance in the 72-year history of Baker County’s program … A blocking back, Hodges played a big role in the Wildcats rushing for seven touchdowns in their state semifinal win … As a junior for Baker County, which is about 30 miles west of Jacksonville, Fla., Hodges helped the Wildcats go 9-2 … Rated a two-star prospect by 247Sports.
