Women's Tennis Hosts College of Charleston

BOONE, N.C. - App State women's tennis faces College of Charleston on Sunday with a time and location to be announced.

Last Time Out
The Mountaineers edge No. 48 East Carolina in an exciting 4-3 victory that gave Appalachian its first ranked win since the ITA rankings were established. Selina Atay put forth a straight set win in her third straight victory and second consecutive clinching match in singles. The triumph gives App State 11 straight wins at home and four in a row overall. 

Newcomers Making An Impact
The quartet of Sasha Pisareva, Virginia Poggi, Cassie McLay and Atay are a combined 13-6 in singles, while Atay, Pisareva and McLay have at least three singles wins. The pairings of María José Zacarias/McLay are 3-1 and Kate Earnhardt/Atay and Pisareva/Poggi are 2-1. 

Scouting College of Charleston
The Cougars are coming off a 4-2 loss to Davidson on Friday, falling to 5- 4 on the season.

What's Next
App State will travel to Johnson City next weekend for a pair of matches. The Mountaineers will face Charlotte on Saturday before 
facing ETSU on Sunday.
