BOONE, N.C. -- The international basketball season is underway and some league's have tipped their season. We bring you an update of how some alums are faring in international play.

Donald Sims (5'11''-G-87, graduated '11, plays pro in Mexico) could not help Aaguacateros Michoacan (12-4) in their last game. Despite his very good performance, Aaguacateros Michoacan (12-4) lost 92-84on the road to the second-place Soles in the West group. Sims finished with 24 points and three assists in 31 minutes. There are only four games left until the end of the regular. Sims is averaging 16.5 points, 1.6 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.8 steals in 16 games this season.
Isaac Johnson (6'9''-F-98, graduated '20, plays in Portugal) led Ovarense to a three-point victory over Barreirense (0-1) 73-70 in the Portuguese LPB on Saturday night. Johnson recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Ovarense Gavexis placed seventh in the LPB. In his first season, Johnson is averaging 15.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 steals.
Andre Williamson (6'7''-C/F-89, graduated '12, currently in Cyprus) led Keravnos to a victory against the league outsider Apoel 82-72 in the Cypriot OPAP Basket League. Williamson had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. He also added five assists in 28 minutes. Keravnos Strovolouis is in sixth place in the OPAP Basket League. Williamson has very impressive stats this year averaging 15.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.5 steals in two games.
Griffin Kinney (6'8''-C-95, graduated '18, plays pro in Switzerland) was not able to help Neuchatel in their game against Fribourg in the Swiss SBL. Kinney tallied nine points and four rebounds in a 68-59 loss to Fribourg. In the early stages of the season, Kinney is averaging 6.5 points and 3.5 rebounds.
Isaac Butts (6'10''-C-89, graduated '12, plays in Japan) contributed to an easy victory against Yamagata crushing them 102-52 in the Japanese B2 League. Butts scored eight points and grabbed six rebounds in 14 minutes. Koshigaya Alphas (5-1) stand in first place in the East Group. Butts has very impressive stats this year, averaging 15.5 points, 13.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.3 steals in six games.
