BOONE, N.C. -- App State men's cross country will host the Blue Ridge Open in its final tuneup before the Sun Belt Championships on Oct. 31. The 8K race is set for a 4:30 p.m. start at the Don Kennedy Trails at State Farm Field.

- The Mountaineers recorded a sixth place finish at the Live at Lou Cross Country Classic on Oct. 3.
- Isaac Benz led App State across the finish line with a 15th place finish in an 8K PR time of 24:19.6. His mark betters his standing of third all-time in program history by a second.
- Ben Cignarale and Dwayne Lillie turned in solid performances for the Mountaineers. Cignarale recorded a PR time of 24:53.8 to finish 30th, topping his previous personal best by nearly 20 seconds. Lillie was right behind in 31st place with a time of 24:59.9. Lillie's mark ranks as the fourth fastest 8K time run by a freshman in program history.
- Ryan Brown finished 34th in 24:57.6 and Michael Flanagan was 37th with a time of 25:01.5.
