BOONE, N.C. – With the 2020 spring sports season approaching quickly, App State fans will be able to watch every home baseball and softball game online.
The schedule is now available for regular season home baseball and softball games that will be streamed on ESPN+ or on AppVision via
appstatesports.com. There are 23 home baseball games scheduled to be played in Boone, plus a March 31 game in which App State is the home team against South Carolina in Charlotte, and 22 home softball games on the 2020 schedule.
ESPN+ is a $4.99/month subscription that can be downloaded at
espnplus.com or from any app store via iPhone/Android phones OR on a streaming device like Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire and Google Chromecast. Once you have a subscription, you can watch any ESPN+ event from

Entering its fourth season under head coach
Kermit Smith, App State Baseball is scheduled to have a record-high 14 home games on ESPN+: midweek games against ACC programs Wake Forest and North Carolina, plus four of the program's five weekend Sun Belt series in Boone: Louisiana, Georgia Southern, Troy and Coastal Carolina.
The home games that will be available on AppVision include the weekend series against Arkansas State at the beginning of May (on the same weekend ESPN+ will broadcast the final home series for App State Softball) and the South Carolina game in Charlotte's BB&T Ballpark. The midweek home games being shown on AppVision are Siena (two games to open the home schedule from March 10-11), North Carolina A&T, North Carolina Central, East Tennessee State and UNC Asheville.
App State Baseball won a program-best 13 Sun Belt games under Smith's direction in 2019, and
Shelly Hoerner is entering her third season as the head coach of App State Softball, which tied the program's single-season win record by going 31-25 in 2019.
The record-high 13 softball games being shown on ESPN+ will be the March 4 home opener against Virginia Tech as well as Sun Belt weekend series against Georgia State, Texas State, Georgia Southern and Coastal Carolina.
The nine games on AppVision will be a March 18 doubleheader against Western Carolina, plus April games against ULM (series), East Tennessee State and Troy (series).
