SODERTALJE, Sweden – Earlier this month, Appalachian State women's soccer alumna Morgan Mosack began her professional career with Telge United FF. Mosack signed with the professional club in Sweden near the end of 2018 and arrived in the country on April 1.
Since arriving in Sodertalje, a town outside of the Swedish capital of Stockholm, Mosack appeared in a scrimmage where she played all 90 minutes. Telge United FF won the match 3-0 and will play its regular-season opener against Tyreso FF on Saturday.
"Signing with Telge United FF is a dream come true for me because I've wanted to play at the highest level ever since I was little," Mosack said. "I'm very excited to continue and grow in my career as well as have this opportunity to experience the different culture Europe brings."
The midfielder played at Appalachian from 2014-2017, appearing in 77 contests with 61 starts. Mosack started all 39 of her games as an upperclassman, helping lead Appalachian to a 10-8-2 record as a junior.
Mosack also placed fourth on the team in shots (24) and fifth on the team in shots on goal (10) during her junior campaign. She finished her career with eight total points, registering three goals and two assists.
Two other Americans join Mosack on Telge United FF. Mosack's roommate, Kate Mason, played college soccer at Lipscomb, while Tabitha Nyberg played at Clemson.
Telge United FF is on the third level of the professional soccer league system in Sweden. Telge is in the Sodra Svealand section, which is one of six sections on the third level.
