ATLANTA - Appalachian State University men's tennis (5-16, 1-4 SBC) fell to Georgia State (13-9, 5-1 SBC) by a score of 4-0 on Sunday afternoon at GSU Clarkston Courts.
The Mountaineers were unable to get any rhythm going against the Sun Belt's top team on Sunday.
App State fell in the doubles portion of the contest, which gave the hosts the momentum it needed heading into singles action.
Appalachian couldn't get off to a good start like it wanted to versus the Panthers, as they claimed the three matches they needed to seal the win.
Afonso Viana gave his counterpart all he could handle despite falling 7-5 in the first set. But he fell to Diego Padilha 6-3 in the second frame.
