CONWAY, S.C. - Appalachian State University men's tennis (5-18, 1-6, SBC) fell to Coastal Carolina (15-7, 5-2 SBC) on Saturday afternoon at the Stevens Tennis Complex in the last road match of the season.
App State and Coastal Carolina started later than originally scheduled due to the weather. The Mountaineers and Chanticleers only played singles to clinch on Saturday.
Appalachian's tough road stretch continued as CCU is the ninth road foe this season with a winning record. The Black and Gold couldn't get any momentum going with CCU capturing four victories in singles.
Ben Webster gave a valiant effort in his first set despite falling in a tiebreaker. His match would go unfinished on Court No. 3.
Tomorrow's match will conclude the regular season for the Apps. First serve is set for 2 p.m. against Davidson for Senior Day.
