After allowing the Eagles to shoot 60 percent from the field in the opening quarter, the Black and Gold held GS to just 29 points over the final three periods and 9-of-40 shooting. Three players scored at least 15 points with
Tierra Wilson pouring in a season-high 18 points in her second straight start.

Lainey Gosnell dropped 15 points.
Bayley Plummer registered her eighth game with at least 15 boards, as she grabbed a game-best 16 off the glass.
What to Watch for
- Over the last five games, the Mountaineers are averaging 18 points off of turnovers. Against ULM earlier this season, the Apps took advantage of 16 Warhawk miscues and scored 24 points. See if the Apps can create offense off of their defense.
- App State is shooting 40.8 percent from 3-point range and averaging 9.6 3-pointers over the last three games. Watch if the Black and Gold can continue its success from deep.
- The Apps are 7-1 this season when scoring 15 or more second-chance points after tallying 18 second-chance points in the win at Georgia Southern. Watch if the Mountaineers can come up with second-chance opportunities on Thursday.
- Lainey Gosnell is averaging 12.6 points on 53.5 percent shooting over the previous five games. See if the sophomore can keep up the solid play.
- Tierra Wilson has come on strong over the past five games, where she is averaging 12.2 points per game (8.6 overall) with 14 of her 18 field goals from deep. See if Wilson can continue her hot shooting.
Race to NOLA
With four games remaining in the regular season, Appalachian would be eighth and host the first round of the Sun Belt Tournament if it started today. However, the Mountaineers are only 1.5 games behind fourth seed, Georgia State. Of the five teams in Georgia State, South Alabama, Texas State, Coastal Carolina and App vying for the No. 4-6 seed, the Bobcats have the toughest remaining schedule with Troy, UTA and South Alabama combining for a 58-18 (.763) mark. The remaining win percentages for the Mountaineers, Jaguars and Chanticleers are 53 percent, while the Panthers are the only team out of the five to face three programs that have a losing mark. App and CCU are the only two squads to have four games remaining in the season with the other three having a bye.
