BOONE, N.C. - App State men's tennis continues the fall season with the Furman Duals this weekend in Greenville, S.C.
The three-day event will be in a hidden dual format playing a round of doubles versus one team and then in singles. Two rounds will be
played on Saturday and one more round on Sunday.
Appalachian will go up against UNCG, Winthrop and the hosts, beginning with doubles against the Spartans (doubles) and the Eagles (Singles)
early Saturday morning. The Apps will then face Furman in doubles and UNCG in singles in the afternoon.
Milo Bargeron and
Alex Pavkovich highlighted the ITA Regionals as they picked up a singles win and a doubles victory as partners. Last weekend,
the Black and Gold showed vast improvement with 21 wins (11 in fall opener) at the River City Tennis Open. App won 15 singles
contests through four flights. Bargeron,
Blake Carter,
Campbell Stone,
Karan Srivastava all won three contests.
In doubles,
Alessio Azzalini and Stone won a doubles flight title, while Pavkovich and Bargeron advanced to the finals in their flight.
App State will return to action Nov. 8-10 for its final fall tournament at the Liberty Invite.
