BOONE, N.C. – Appalachian State University men's cross country finished in fifth place at the Blue Ridge Invitational on Friday afternoon.

The Mountaineers were led by Kyle McFoy, Josh Cox and Michael Ellis in the 6,400 meter race. Finishing highest for the Apps was McFoy in 22nd place with a time of 20:55. Cox was right behind in 23rd at 20:58, while Ellis was in 24th with a time of 20:59.

Cade Zimmerman finished 28th with a time of 21:08 and Evan Laratta finished in 21:22 and was 36th. 

The Mountaineers will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 25th when they travel to Hickory, N.C. for the Lenoir-Rhyne Open.
