Aidan Morrow and
Bryant Young will represent the Mountaineers at the USATF Cross Country Championships in Portland, Ore. on Saturday. The U20 men's 8K is scheduled for 5:50 p.m. ET (2:50 p.m. PT).
Hasbrouck Heights, NJ native Morrow, made an appearance at the NCAA Southeast Regional on Nov. 14, clocking a 10K personal best of 31:47.3 to place 93rd out of 234 athletes. He helped the Mountaineers to a 16th-place in the team standings.
At the Princeton Fall Classic, both Young and Morrow registered 8K personal bests with times of 24:48.0 and 25:21.6, respectively. The pair also rounded out the top 20 at the Firetower Project Run (Oct. 3) and made their collegiate debuts at the Virginia Invitational on Sept. 12.
Six athletes will be selected to represent Team USA at the 2026 World Athletics Cross Country Championships, which will be held on Jan. 10 in Tallahassee, Fla.
