Women’s Basketball Adds Inniss to 2024-25 Roster

BOONE, N.C. - App State women's basketball coach Alaura Sharp announced the signing of senior transfer Asjah Inniss to the 2024-25 roster on Thursday.

Hailing from Suwanne, Ga., Inniss, will join the Mountaineers as a guard and intends on pursuing a teaching graduate certificate while at App State. Inniss has made stops at North Carolina A&T, Northwest Florida State, and George Washington. As a junior at George Washington, she started 28 games and averaged 5.5 points per game, shooting 35.9% from the floor, and 70% from the line. She also averaged two assists per game. In her sophomore season at Northwest Florida, she helped her team to a No. 1 NJCAA DI ranking. She also averaged 5.5 points per contest as well as 2.5 rebounds per game. As a freshman at NC A&T, Inniss helped the Aggies to a MEAC title and NCAA Tournament appearance. 
 
Inniss competed on the FBC club team under the direction of Johnny Gray. She was a four-year starter and four-time all-conference selection during her high school career. She was also ranked a top-five point guard in the state of Georgia during her senior year.

She represents everything we want in a Mountaineer women's basketball player."
