Boekaar Named to NFHCA South Region First Team

App State midfielder Lise Boekaar has been named to the NFHCA South Region First Team, the association announced Wednesday.
 
Boekaar is coming off an impressive junior season, tallying three goals and a team-high seven assists during the 2024 season. Her midfield play is second to none, as her stick skills led to scoring chances for both her and her teammates.
 
"We always say when one person on our team is honored, it is an honor for the whole team," said second year head coach Emily Dinsmore. "We are so proud of Lise and the way she competed all season long. She is very deserving of this honor and as a team we celebrate with her."
 
Playing and starting in all but one game this past season, her play aided the Mountaineers in securing a share of the Regular Season MAC Championship for the second year in a row.
 
Boekaar has also garnered All-MAC recognition, earning a spot on the All-MAC First Team based on her play this season.
 
Boekaar's recognition is a testament to her dedication and impact on the field, highlighting not only her individual talent but also the strength of App State Field Hockey as a whole.
