2023 App State Baseball Fan Guide

Clear Bag Policy

• Smith Stadium has employed a clear bag policy since 2017, intended to enhance patron safety and expedite stadium entry.
• Approved bags include clear plastic bags that do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12" and small clutch purses no larger than 4.5" x 6.5".
• Bags that are not approved include diaper bags, backpacks, binocular cases, camera cases, tinted or printed pattern plastic bags, fanny packs, oversized tote bags & mesh bags, and purses exceeding 4.5" x 6.5". Exceptions will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at Smith Stadium entrances.

Concessions

• The concessions stand at Smith Stadium is located just inside the home plate gate and features a variety of food and drink options.
• New to the menu this season are hamburgers and cheeseburgers, as well as specialty popcorn offerings.
• Beer and wine will be available for purchase, including App State's own Mountain Brew (with the exception of Sundays and education day on March 15)

Facilities

• New to Smith Stadium this season is the C. Philip Byers video board located beyond the right-center field fence. Additionally, there will be the presence of the batter's eye which was installed late last season. First base side terrace seating is now available in black and gold Adirondack chairs.

Food Trucks

• Just Wing It will have a food truck at Smith Stadium for every Saturday home game beginning March 10 (weather permitting).

Gate Openings

• The main home plate gate will open to fans one hour prior to first pitch of each game.

Merchandise

• App State and Nike branded merchandise will be available for purchase at the Smith Stadium concessions stand.
• Fans will have the opportunity to purchase the Mountaineers' on-field caps as well as T-shirts, sweatshirts and blankets.
• New items available this season include ponchos, hot hands and an App State tumbler.

Premium Seating

• Premium options include seating at our fire pits, picnic tables and brand new first base side terrace seating (TERRACE SEATING SOLD OUT AS OF MARCH 1).
• Contact our ticket office at 828-262-7733 to reserve your premium seats.

Tickets

• Visit appstatesports.com/tickets to purchase single-game tickets for 2023 App State baseball games.
• Limited season tickets still remain as well.
• Fans who have pre-purchased a ticket may present it upon entry at the home plate gates at Smith Stadium.
• Fans who are looking to purchase a ticket on game day at the stadium should head to the new ticket booth on the first base side of the home plate entrance.
