BOONE, N.C. - The App State women's track and field team will head to Huntington, W.Va. for the Marshall Invitational on Feb. 10-11. Action on Friday is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. Saturday's events are scheduled for a 10:30 a.m. start.

The Mountaineers split for the Doc Hale Virginia Tech Meet in Blacksburg, Va. and Camel City Invite in Winston-Salem, N.C. on Feb. 3-4.
At the Doc Hale VT Meet, senior
Jada Branch recorded a leap of 12.61m (41' 4.5") to place second in the women's long jump. Fellow senior
Mariah Atwater finished fifth overall in the women's 400 meters with a personal best of 55.98. In the women's long jump, junior

Graysen Arnold posted eighth-place finishes in the women's 1,000 meters (3:11.08, PR), women's 600 meters (1:43.66, PR), and women's weight throw (16.45m (53' 11.75")), respectively.
Ranked Mountaineers
In the Sun Belt, App State remains second in the women's 4x400-meter relay with its program record of 3:46.87. Smith also remains second in the women's long jump (6.15m (20' 2.25")) and fourth in the women's 60 meters (7.46). Branch remains third in the women's long jump, while Atwater moves up to fourth in the league in the women's 400 meters. Ollendick-Smith stands fifth in the women's 800 meters.
In the Southeast Region, Smith and Branch maintain their positions of fourth in the women's long jump and seventh in the women's triple jump, respectively. In the NCAA top-48, Smith ranks 30th in the women's long jump.
App State's triple jump squad ranks seventh in the nation in this week's event squad rankings. In the first week of conference team rankings, App State checks in at seventh in the Sun Belt. App State rounds out the top 20 in the USTFCCCA's Southeast Region rankings for a third consecutive week.

The 2023 USATF Indoor Championships are slated for Feb. 16-18 in Albuquerque, NM. Juniors Niejel Wilkins and Cole Krehnbrink of the men's squad are entered to compete in the men's triple jump and men's 400 meters, respectively. The men's triple jump is slated for 1:40 p.m. MT (3:40 p.m. ET) and the first round of the men's 400 meters is set for 3:44 p.m. MT (5:44 p.m. ET) on Feb. 17.
The women's squad will head to Birmingham, Ala. for the Sun Belt Indoor Championships on Feb. 20-21. Action will start bright and early at 9 a.m. on both days. There will be an awards presentation at the conclusion of the meet, slated for 5 p.m. on Tuesday.
