CHARLESTON, S.C. -- App State women's tennis is set to play nonconference opponent Charleston Southern on Thursday at noon.
This will be the Mountaineers' last nonconference matchup of the season as they prepare for the Sun Belt Championship next week.
SCOUTING THE MOUNTAINEERS (5-13, 3-6 SBC)
- App State fell to Troy 4-0 in its last match.
- Helena Jansen leads the team in singles action with a record of 14-7, followed by Erika Dodridge at 12-8.Â
- Both Jansen and Dodridge have won five straight singles matches.
- Ellie Murphy leads the squad in doubles wins with nine, followed by Dodridge and Jansen with eight.
SCOUTING THE BUCCANEERS (14-5, 8-0 Big South)
- Charleston Southern has won its last three, defeating Gardner-Webb, UNC Asheville and Radford.
- The squad finished the season undefeated in Big South play.
- Tiffany Pyritz and Zoe Cauthen lead the team in singles play, each winning their last nine straight.
- Luiza Fullana and Laura Marti are 8-3 in doubles action and have won seven matches in a row as a tandem.
