RALEIGH, N.C. — The spring season for App State Men's Golf gets underway Saturday with four Mountaineers playing in the Wolfpack Individual Invite.
Jake Lane,
Timothius Tirto Tamardi,
Justin Morgan and
Ryan Marter are slated to compete Saturday and Sunday at the Lonnie Poole Golf Club in Raleigh. The 7,158-yard course has a par-72 layout.
Morgan will tee off from the first hole at 9:30 a.m, followed by Marter at 9:40 a.m., Lane at 9:50 a.m. and Tamardi at 10 a.m.
Golfers from host school NC State, North Carolina, Duke, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, Campbell, Davidson, North Carolina Central, Liberty, Longwood and Wofford are also in the field.
Since
Jason Allison became App State's head coach before the 2020-21 season, the Mountaineers have beaten or tied 90 of their 134 opponents in tournament play. In that time, App State has had eight top-three team finishes in 14 events.
