Men's Golf Releases Spring Schedule

BOONE, N.C. -  App State men's golf and head coach Jason Allison are pleased to announce the 2021 spring schedule. The Mountaineers are set to compete in six events, including three in the Carolinas.

"This spring, we will get to experience some really great golf courses, great in-state competition and our annual Bash at the Beach," Allison said. "It's a competitive schedule that will test us to the highest level. Our kids are coming off a really good fall, and they're super excited to jump back out there to compete."

App State amassed three top-three team finishes during the fall. Dating back to the 2019-20 campaign, the Mountaineers have recorded a total of seven top-three team finishes.

Entering the 2021 spring season, App State currently ranks 39th in Golfstat's collegiate rankings.

The Mountaineers return four of five starters from the shortened 2019-20. Jake Lane and Timothius Tirto Tamardi, who hold the program's two lowest single-season averages in school history, will be instrumental in taking the next step in securing a tournament title and making a run at the Sun Belt Championship.

To open 2021, App State will head down to the Peach State for the Sea Palms Invitational, hosted by Western Carolina. The Invitational is slated for March 4-6 from St. Simons Island, Georgia.

The Black and Gold will then host the Bash at the Beach on March 15-16 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, at the Surf Golf and Beach Club.

Next, Allison's squad is scheduled to compete in back-to-back events right here in the Tar Heel State, in Greenville and Kannapolis.

In Greenville on March 22-23, App State will take part in the ECU Intercollegiate at Brook Valley.

The Irish Creek Invitational, hosted by Charlotte from Kannapolis, North Carolina, is scheduled for April 2-3.

To conclude the regular season, the Mountaineers will travel north to Bridgeport, West Virginia, for the Mountaineer Invitational, April 12-13, hosted by West Virginia University.

The Sun Belt Championship is set for April 25-28 from El Dorado, Arkansas, at the Mystic Creek Golf Club.
