BOONE, N.C. – App State men's and women's basketball will tip the 2021-22 season this week. The Mountaineer women host Lees-McRae at 5 p.m. Tuesday in the Holmes Convocation Center, while the men's program welcomes ETSU on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
Below are a variety of enhancements, protocols and new amenities to App State's game day experience for the upcoming season. We look forward to welcoming App Nation back to the Holmes Convocation Center.
Ticketing
- Season and single-game tickets are available for purchase at www.appstatesports.com/tickets.
- Mobile ticketing options are available, but not required
- Fans and students will receive email instructions on how to download and reserve their mobile tickets
Parking
- Free parking for the general public who do not have Yosef Club donor parking spots is available in the following lots: Hill Street and University Dr. River Street Parking Deck is also open to the public and is free on weekends, but charges until 8 p.m. on weeknights.
- Parking lots open to the public at 5 p.m. on weekdays and anytime on weekends
Gates open one hour before tip
- Clear bag policy is in effect and will be enforced
- Outside food and drink is prohibited in the Holmes Convocation Center
- Fans can enter at any gate for men's home games
- Fans can enter at either the southwest or northwest gates for women's home games
COVID-19 safety precautions
- There are no crowd size restrictions at this time
- Face coverings are required in all indoor areas, regardless of vaccination status. If actively eating, face coverings are not required to be worn
- Face coverings are not required outside the Holmes Convocation Center
- Hand sanitizer stations are available throughout the facility
Seating
- Per Sun Belt Conference guidelines, a six-foot buffer will be located around the court. Floor seats will still be used, but will be pushed back farther from the court
- Due to the playing buffer, the first row in the bowl will kept empty throughout the whole arena
Concessions
- The Holmes Convocation Center has adopted a cashless policy. Only credit/debit card can be used to purchase food throughout the arena
- Beer will be served during select home games. Details will be announced soon.
Postgame
- Fans will not be allowed on the court after the completion of the game
