Track and Field Announces Indoor and Outdoor Schedules

BOONE, N.C. - App State track and field announces both indoor and outdoor track schedules for the upcoming 2021-22 indoor season and the 2022 outdoor season.

The indoor campaign gets underway with the App State Invite on Dec. 3-4. After hosting the indoor season opener, the Mountaineers will then take a trip to the Volunteer State for a meet hosted by East Tennessee State University on Jan. 14-15, the ETSU Track & Field Invitational.

On Jan. 21-22, App State will compete in the Carolina Challenge, hosted by the University of South Carolina.

Rounding out the month of January, the Black and Gold will host their second meet of the indoor season with the App State Split Open on Jan. 28th.

App State will set its eyes on another East Tennessee State event, the Buccaneer Track & Field Invitational on Feb. 4-5, and the Marshall Invitational, Feb. 11-12, to close out the indoor regular season.

The Sun Belt Indoor Championships are set for Feb. 21-22 in Birmingham, Alabama.

The first of seven scheduled outdoor meets for the 2022 season begin on March 18-19 as the Mountaineers are set to compete in the 49er Classic in Charlotte, hosted by UNC Charlotte.

On March 24-26, App State will take part in both the Weems Baskins and the Raleigh Relays. The Weems Baskin will be hosted by the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina. NC State is the host of the Raleigh Relays from Raleigh, North Carolina.

The Mountaineers will then head south to Gainesville, Florida, on March 31-April 2 for the Florida Relays, hosted by the University of Florida.

Three April meets round out the outdoor regular season for the Black and Gold. The Duke Invitational is set for April 9-8, the War Eagle (Auburn, AL) is scheduled for April 15-16 and the Georgia Tech Invitational commences on April 22-23.

The 2022 Sun Belt Outdoor Championships are scheduled for May 14-12 in Lafayette, Louisiana.
