NEW ORLEANS - Eleven Mountaineers collected All-SBC accolades for their performances at the Sun Belt Indoor Track & Field Championships, the league announced Saturday.
Senior
Ava Studney became the Mountaineers' first Sun Belt women's indoor pole vault champion since joining the league in 2014. Studney garnered gold and first-team All-SBC honors after recording a clearance of 4.08m (13' 4.5"). Her mark moved her to second outright in the App State all-time list. Fellow vaulter, sophomore
Lilly Nichols, earned third-team All-SBC honors after collecting bronze with a clearance of 3.88m (12' 8.75").
Securing silver in the women's 60-meter final in addition to second-team All-SBC honors was junior
Kendall Johnson. Johnson reset the App State record with a time of 7.32 in the prelims and clocked a time of 7.36 in the final.
In addition to Johnson's 60-meter record, the Mountaineers saw a new women's 4x400-meter relay record. The quartet of juniors

Jayla Adams, sophomore
Ja'Naya Linder, and senior
Damyja Alejandro-Ortiz clocked a program record of 3:41.81 to place third and earn third-team all-conference honors at the championship meet. The previous record was 3:43.85, set at the 2023 conference championships. The distance medley relay team of sophomore

Micayla Collins, senior
Addison Ollendick-Smith, and freshman
Josie Jackson also registered a third-place finish and collected third-team all-conference honors with a time of 11:50.84.
The men's and women's track and field teams will open the outdoor season March 13-14 with the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
