BOONE, N.C. -  App State women's soccer travels to ULM on Friday at 6 p.m. in Monroe, La. for its next Sun Belt conference match.

About the Mountaineers

Last Time Out
The Mountaineers fell to Texas State on Sunday afternoon in a 1-0 defeat, after the Bobcats secured the win via a penalty kick in the 81st minute of the contest. 

Breckyn Monteith led the way with three shots, and two being on goal. 

The Mountaineers drop 4-8-1 overall and 0-6-0 in conference play, while Texas State moves 7-6-1 on the season and 4-4-0 in the Sun Belt.

Scouting the Warhawks
ULM is 8-3-1 overall and 2-3-1 in the Sun Belt, after a 3-1 victory against South Alabama on Thursday night. Last season, the Warhawks finished 5-13 overall and 0-8 in the conference. ULM returns starter, Janet Stopka, who led the team with 10 goals on the season, and recorded 23 shots on goal out of 50 shots. In addition, Courtney Marten, returns to the Warhawks roster, after finishing second in goals last season with three. 

Series History
In the last eight matchups, the Mountaineers lead 6-0-1 in the series. In the last meeting, App State notched a 2-1 victory in two overtime periods against ULM in the first round of the Sun Belt Championship. In the 108th minute, Jordan Grisby found the net for the game-winning goal to advance the Mountaineers to the second round. This was its first postseason win since 2016.

What's Next
App State returns to action on Sunday against Arkansas State at 1 p.m. ET in Jonesboro, Ark. The last regular season road match will be streamed on ESPN+.
