BOONE, N.C. — App State Athletics finished in third place nationally with seven award-winning entries in the 2019-20 CoSIDA Publications and Digital Design Contest, while App State also accounted for one first-place showing among the eight District 3 category winners in a 2019-20 CoSIDA Stabley Writing Contest that covered five states. The first-place awards for App State were:

Additionally, App State also had three more award-winning entries to help bring its total to seven. West Virginia led the University Division with 11 awards in the Publications and Digital Design Contest, while Kansas State and App State took second and third, followed by Kansas in fourth place with six awards.
In the writing contest, the District 3 winners were from App State, Florida, Virginia Tech, UCF, Western Carolina and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical.
