BOONE, N.C. - App State men's tennis travels to Charlotte, N.C. for a pair of matches. The Mountaineers will face the 49ers on Friday at 3 p.m. before squaring off against North Florida the following day at 3 p.m.

App State fell to UNCG (4-3) and a formidable Campbell squad last weekend in a 6-1 setback on the road. Appalachian received singles wins from Milo Bargeron and Matvey Radionov. Also earning a singles victory is Blake Carter, who picked up his second singles triumph. Against Campbell, Alex Pavkovich tallied a victory in singles.
Wins Update
App State is led by three Mountaineers who have at least four victories. Radionov and Bargeron both have five wins in singles, while Heaven is second with a 4-4 mark. In doubles, four different tandems have a pair of spring wins. Aleksandar Petrovic/Radionov are 2-1 while Alex Pavkovich and Alessio Azzalini are 2-1 as well.
Scouting Charlotte
Charlotte heads into the match with a 5-5 record after a 4-0 loss to ETSU in its previous outing. Leading singles is Henry Lieberman, who is 7-2 overall this season, playing seven of his nine matches at the two and three spots. He is one of four players with at least four singles victories. The 49ers are 27-30 overall in singles. In doubles, Ignasi de Rueda & Collin Thomson are a team-best 7-2, leading a doubles attack that is 14-11. At home this season, Charlotte is 4-4.
Scouting UNF
The Ospreys have yet to lose with a 5-0 mark and will play Charlotte tomorrow at 10 a.m. UNF has played only one road match against in its most recent outing in a 5-2 triumph against Mercer. The Ospreys are 21-7 in singles with Nilo Duarte owning a 4-0 mark. He is one of seven players with multiple singles and one of four with at least three victories. In doubles, UNF is 10-4 with Joe Ellis & Patrick Kotan boasting a 4-1 record.

App State will travel to Orlando, Fla. next week for two matches against Xavier and James Madison on March 12.
